David Essien Oku is a Nigerian Journalist/Reporter. He hails from Odukpani Local Government Area, Cross River State, and holds a Bsc in Physics from the University of Calabar.

David started honing his broadcasting skills from the famous Cross River Broadcasting Coperation (CRBC) Calabar, before joining Flo-fm Umuahia in 2017. He is the anchor of Sports Trax, Monday Night Football, MidweekSportsReel, and Fans Zone.

David finds Interest in Youth Sports Development, Promotion, and Reporting. He recently covered the Un23 Africa Cup of Nations 2019, as well as The Africa Cup of Nations in (June/July) Egypt 2019 which was the biggest tournament since it’s inception.

David Oku was presented with “The First Journalists Award for Youth in Africa” in November 2019 in Cairo Egypt. The award was considered as the first award from Egypt for Young Journalists and Media Professionals in Africa.

David’s hobbies include teaching, jogging, cooking, and meeting beautiful people
